CONNECTING

eSafety4schools have partnerships with a range of ISP’s including BT Wholesale, TalkTalk and Virgin – for each school site we will do a review of the available connectivity types and discuss with you the benefits of each service and its respective costs.

  • FTTC – fibre to the Cabinet then used copper to the school - typically speeds of 80/20 but contention with other users of the green cabinet can slow this down.
  • G.Fast – same as FTTC - fibre to the cabinet and copper to school – but the copper is boosted so that it can handle speeds of 330Mbits down 50 Up.
  • FTTP - Fibre to the Premise, uses existing broadband infrastructure so once the data is sent it enters the shared contended broadband infrastructure and then on towards the public internet.
  • Leased Line is a dedicated synchronous Internet connection, so the school gets the speed it pays for- there is no contention.
  • - These connections offer the same upload and download speeds but are sometimes quoted as the connection speed over a bearer with the connection speed quoted first – e.g. 100/100 or 100/1Gbps.

For FTTC and G.Fast Internet connection 12 month licence terms are available but for FTTP or Leased Line the ISP will incur a construction cost of bringing the new fibre connection into the school – even if you have an existing fibre connection, as such these licence terms are a minimum of 36 months and can be 60 months. eSafety4schools will project manage the installation of the schools new Internet connection and will provide updates to and always keep the school advised of timings of sites survey’s/visits etc., and the final completion date.

By putting in a new faster Internet Connection schools are able to benefit from lower cost calling by using VOIP and all it additional feature – personal hunt groups for each user across multiple devices, call recording, call ID and name presentation.

SECURING

Working with McAfee, eSafety4schools offers a unique Web Filtering AND End Point Protection service for schools. Only available through eSafety4schools the service combines on device security with Web Gateway protection giving schools a corporate strength product at education device (not user) pricing which means schools only pay for the devices that are being protected Not users who may never access the Internet.

This highly secure, highly scalable solution significantly improves upon Web Filtering only products as it combines the market leading McAfee AV product with the McAfee Web Protect product and technical knowhow of eSafety4schools to produce a unique school’s specific solution at a very cost-effective price.

McAfee Web Protect enables age appropriate filtering as each user is authenticated against the schools AD, reporting is in real time and at a per user level and devices are protected on and off the school’s network so all schools owned devices that leave the network will remain secure and all Internet traffic will continue to be filtered by the schools policies. Whilst McAfee AV will keep all the school’s devices protected on and off network.

A pre-configured firewall is always supplied with all of our Internet Connections to keep the school protected and enables a school to offer secure BYOD and Public Access

SUPPORTING

eSafety4schools at the request of customers now provides comprehensive in-school support to complement our Products and Service Helpdesk which can always be reached on 033 344 6501 / support@esafety4schools or by completing this form link.

To enable the delivery of a service that ensure that a schools ICT ‘just works’ eSafety4schools in partnership with you existing on-site technician or 3rd party support company will completely overhaul IT. All the schools data will be migrated and core systems built into the solution to ensure nothing is missing, by moving to an Infrastructure As A Service (IaaS) model the speed of the school network increases and older less powerful machines once again become useful thus saving the school money.

The eSafety4schools ‘CloudSchool IaaS’ solution is a fully managed school system with the aim of providing schools with a single point of contact for all IT solutions on site. CloudSchool IaaS allows on-site technicians to dedicate their time to end users with the confidence that the core services “just work”. Designed to cover the entire infrastructure, this ensures reliability, peace of mind and clear budget planning for the Business Manager without unpleasant surprises.

CloudSchool IaaS was thoroughly designed and tested in cooperation with education, we have seen a demand from schools to have a single point of contact for any issues that should arise. Our service provides this, coupled with a system that just works. Its clean, it’s tested, it’s self-healing with redundancy built-in

eSafety4schools provides schools with products and services that allow them to meet the DfE’s ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ strategy from an IT perspective.

Supplying over 500 schools we have great in-depth experience about the issues and restrictions that Primary Schools work under – to assist schools we have produced bundled packages that are suitable for schools with little or no IT experience right through to those with their own dedicated IT department or 3rd Party support company.

Our schools only customer base has been built through a commitment to service and support that goes beyond just the products we carry. When a support call comes in we try and resolve the issue on the phone there and then, as we realise how important working, stable IT is to schools. Things go wrong, help is needed – that’s life, so you call a support number, what happens next is the single most important factor when choosing a company to provide a service to you.

At eSafety4schools we have a small dedicated support team ranging from ex-teachers to apprentices all our staff care passionately about the service they offer. It is the help and support that we provide that separates eSafety4schools from non-school focused resellers or single product vendors who just want to push their limited product or do not have education experience. For each of these we are able to work with the school to determine which best suits its needs, there is no heavy selling, just honest expert advice a choice of options to meet the schools requirements & budget and everything is backed up by the fantastic support team.
